A systematic literature review on teacher-student relationships for students with emotional and behavioral disorders (EBD). Explored and synthesized within the review are definitions of the teacher-student relationship (TSR), instruments for measuring the TSR, and associated outcomes of students with EBD. 

Current stage: Editing manuscript to submit for peer-review

Applicability of the classroom assessment scoring system (class, K-3) across diverse contexts

Investigating psychometric properties of the CLASS, K-3 in self-contained, ENL, and Math specialist contexts. 

Current stage: Conducting analyses, co-authoring manuscript for publication.

Teacher Helping Student

Examining existing values, mission, attributes, dispositions, and professional learning standards in a special education teacher preparation curriculum. Aligning the 22 high leverage practices (HLPs) created by the Council for Exceptional Children with the CEEDAR center to existing program components. Selecting aligned learning activities and developing assessments for coursework and field placements. Developing cohesion across curriculum and between supervisors, faculty, cooperating teachers, and students.

Current Status: Revising Instrument, co-authoring manuscript.
